A parade of royally adorned Thai elephants march proudly in dramatic succession in this Balinese themed adjustable bracelet. Crafted by hand in the northern Thailand workshop of Kamakhya, the bracelet features five elephant pendants separated by detailed coil separators and tribal detailed clasps at the ends. This piece is made entirely from sterling silver .925 and showcases oxidized contrasts for added detail.
Artisan Suwit hails from the northern city of Chang Mai in Thailand and has been practicing the art of jewelry making for over 10 years. With the help of his wife, Hathai, he was able to open a small jewelry store in Chang Mai that specialized in unique sterling silver pieces. Inspired by the techniques and traditions of the Thai Hilltribes that live in the area, their jewelry designs are a beautiful combination of new trends with a traditional flair.
“I have been working with silver jewelry for a decade now, and I am grateful that my business has allowed me to provide a stable life for my family. They are my inspiration and motivate me to work hard each and every day. It brings me great happiness to teach the art of jewelry making to my daughter Boonsri and hopefully she will pass it on to my grandchildren, when that time comes.”
