Nok grew up in Bangkok and has lived in the bustling city all her life. At a young age, she would attend many of the colorful festivals that occur in Bangkok with her family. The bright colors of Songkran, or the Thai New Year festival inspired her. She combined her love of color with her love of fashion, and from this her talent for creating clothing grew. As she grew older, she experimented with crochet and macramé techniques which she incorporates into her designs. She currently runs her own store at the Pratunum Market in Bangkok and with the help of her family, she is able to sell her beautiful creations.
“I am very lucky that I am able to combine my love of making clothes with my daily job because I enjoy working. My skill is entirely self-taught, it allows me to support my family and allows me to express myself through my creations. I find inspiration in the artform of our ancestors and it makes me happy to see these designs live on in the clothes that I sell”. -Nok
