"My name is Mei Mei and I was born in the small town of Liloan, west of Cebu City, Cebu. My hometown is near the ocean so I have always been fascinated by the pearls and shells. My father was a fisherman so I spent a lot of time at the beach and in the ocean. I studied at University in Cebu City, but my passion has always been to make and design jewelry and accessories. Eventually I was able to open up a store in downtown and a small factory north of the city. Today, my family helps me design, create, and sell the lovely handmade jewelry inspired by my childhood. I am delighted to be able to express my creativity and promote the natural beauty of the Philippine."
