Artisan Aor grew up in eastern Thailand, near the border with Cambodia. She was born in the city of Ubon Ratchathani and was part of a large and traditional Thai family. She attended college in Bangkok and graduated with a degree in Economics. After finishing college, she then worked for a marketing company in Bangkok for 3 years. When her grandfather got sick, she resigned her job and moved back home to help care for him. Her grandfather was an artist and she was very close to him. The time they spent together taught her an appreciation for art and nature and she started creating original jewelry pieces. This was her true calling and once her grandfather got better, she moved back to Bangkok to open her own jewelry business.
