Our hands are used for so many things that most of us take for granted, they are used to create, to complete tasks, and to express one’s self in a way that words often cannot. These amazing appendages are the inspiration for artisan Watsud of Thailand, who has created these stunning earrings using fine sterling silver. She transforms the raw metal into a beautiful pair of hands and then turning them into stud earrings. Making for a unique fashion accessory that will definitely get noticed.
NOTE: Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, minor differences in design, sizing and weight will occur from piece to piece. The exact measurements may vary slightly. Pictures may not be true to scale, please check the dimensions for the actual size.
Artisan Watsud is from Lampang, a city located in the northern Thailand on the banks of the Wang River. As a young child, she would visit the local markets with her mother and sisters. She was amazed by the beautiful jewelry that the local vendors were selling. From these experiences, her interest for creating her own jewelry pieces bloomed into a passion. She has turned that passion into a successful family business that she runs with her sisters.
“My designs are a combination of new and trendy designs with traditional influences. I love to mix the old with the new to create something different. I love fashion from all over the world and this variety influences some of my pieces. I believe that beauty is found everywhere, so I try to look at things with an open mind. I never know where I will find the inspiration for my next design.” -Watsud
