Born in the northern city of Chang Mai, artisan Apinya grew up in a place full of creative energy. Most of the people in his hometown work in the silver trade and are expert silversmiths. From this background, Apinya learned all he could in Chang Mai before venturing to Bangkok to seek his own path. This is where he met his wife Dao, who was an accountant by trade. The two of them opened a jewelry store in one of Bangkok’s busiest markets and with hard work and determination, he has built a successful business. His designs are a mix of modern influences with traditional silversmithing techniques that he learned during his youth. We love his designs and are excited to share his work with the world.
“My family comes from a long line of master craftsmen and I learned so much from my parents. They showed me the value of our skill and how to appreciate the old techniques. I brought that experience with me on my own journey. With my amazing wife Dao, we come up with our designs and then bring them to life.
